Celebrating 20 Years

Centennial Woods has been building, maintaining, and recycling Wyoming snow fences since 1999.

"Centennial Woods is proud to celebrate 20 years of building, maintaining, and reclaiming the wood from Wyoming’s snow fences into sustainable, beautiful interior paneling, exterior siding, flooring, decor and more for architects, designers, as well as home and business owners. We're excited about what we've accomplished in the last 20 years, and hope we can make the next twenty even better; better for you and better for our planet." -Ed Spal, CEO, Centennial Woods

Since we discovered the strength and beauty of Wyoming snow fence wood in 1999, we vowed to repurpose the hundreds of miles of snow fences lining the Wyoming highways.

Centennial Woods LLC are the folks that build and reclaim the 12 foot tall fences that are seen along Wyoming's highways.

What began as a mission to give new life to the beautiful Wyoming snow fence wood has grown into an international market for this sustainable and carbon-negative Wyoming resource–leading us to repurpose more than 22.3 million feet of reclaimed wood and avoid more than 18,000 tons of CO2 emissions.

As an architectural element in homes, and businesses around the globe, Centennial Woods has had the wonderful opportunity to beautify projects large and small with our sustainable reclaimed interior paneling, exterior siding, flooring, and decor. We proudly achieved UL’s GREENGUARD Certification in 2018, meaning that our products meet some of the world’s most rigorous, third-party chemical emissions standards—helping reduce indoor air pollution and the risk of chemical exposure while aiding in the creation of healthier indoor environments. From Starbucks to living rooms, brands and families have relied on us to provide consistent, quality, and safe reclaimed wood products for their customers and loved ones.

Some of the world's largest brands, like Starbucks, have chosen reclaimed wood as a design fixture of the stores.

Today, our reclaimed wood can be found in homes and buildings in our hometown of Laramie, Wyoming, as well as in metropolises like Seattle, New York, Dubai, and Singapore. The Singapore Green Building Council conducted a carbon impact study of our products, finding that even accounting for shipping across the Pacific Ocean, our weathered wood is still carbon negative. Our reclaimed wood is also FSC® 100% Recycled and contributes toward satisfying credits MR3, MR4 and MR5 under LEED®.

None of this could have happened without the support of our local community and our customers all over the world. Looking back on the past twenty years, we’re proud of the projects we’ve been a part of and the moves we’ve helped make toward a more sustainable world. Thank you for all your support, we can’t wait to see what the next twenty years has in store for Centennial Woods and sustainable resources like Wyoming snow fence wood.
