Sundance White is one of our most sought-after finishes, showcasing a naturally weathered white wood appearance that brings charm and character to any space. Unlike artificial finishes or paint, the Sundance White finish is achieved through a natural aging process on Wyoming’s snow fences, offering a truly authentic and sustainable look. Our Sundance White finish is then added to the wood after the weathering process. The rich wood grain and soft, weathered hues make these white wood planks a perfect fit for a variety of styles, including Boho, Rustic, Modern Farmhouse, and Coastal designs.

Sizing

Each box covers 20 sq. ft. with a standardized mix of 1, 2, 3, and 4 ft. planks. Each plank is 1/4 in. thick and 5 in. wide.

Finish

Naturally weathered for a rustic, authentic white wood panel appearance — painting is okay but not recommended.

Prepare

Ensure the wall, ceiling, or surface is clean, dry, and free of debris. This step is essential for creating a strong bond with the planks.

Secure

Apply a strong construction adhesive and 16-18 gauge brad nails for proper installation. Nails should be 1/2 - 1 in. long depending on how thick the surface is.

Repeat

Continue adding the white wood wall panels row by row, staggering the seams to create a natural, textured appearance.

Our Sundance White planks feature a natural whitewash finish achieved through years of weathering on Wyoming snow fences. This method delivers authentic color and texture unmatched by mass-produced alternatives.

Can I use these planks in high-humidity areas?

Yes, Sundance White planks are suitable for high-humidity spaces like bathrooms or laundry rooms. We do recommend opting to apply Centennial Seal for added moisture protection. Allow the planks to acclimate to the room for at least five days before installation, and apply a liberal amount of heavy-duty construction adhesive during the installation process.

Do you have planks in other color variations?

Yes, the natural aging process creates subtle color variations in each plank, adding character and depth to your finished project. Choose from our Sundance White, Sundance Red, Casper, Laramie, Cody, Cheyenne, Saratoga, and Wheatland finishes based on your desired aesthetic.

Can I paint or stain your wood planks?

We do not recommend painting or staining our reclaimed wood as it takes away from our planks' naturally weathered beauty. However, they can be painted or stained for customization as desired. We suggest you test a small area before applying it to all of the planks, as the existing finish may alter the final appearance.

Can Sundance White planks be used outdoors?

The 1/4" thick reclaimed wood planks are not suitable for exterior applications, regardless of color (with the only exception being something like an enclosed porch that protects the application area from moisture). However, Sundance White is available as a finish color on any of our thicker exterior siding profiles which are suitable for exterior applications.

Can I use Sundance White planks in commercial spaces?

Yes, Sundance White planks are suitable for commercial spaces like offices, retail stores, and restaurants. Their natural beauty and durability make them a standout choice for creating unique, inviting environments.

Can I alter the material after I receive it?

Absolutely! Once the material is yours, you’re free to get creative and customize it as you wish. However, alterations are not necessary, as the material is designed to meet your needs without additional painting or modifications.

Do you accept returns on altered material?

No, we do not accept returns on material that has been altered. If you choose to customize the material and are not satisfied with the results, we cannot issue a refund or exchange. Please consider this before making any changes.

Is painting or additional finishing required?

No, additional painting or finishing is not required. The material is delivered ready to use, so further customization is entirely up to you!
