WOOD PANELING FOR BEDROOMS: OUR FINISHES
Explore our range of reclaimed wood finishes, each designed to enhance your bedroom and complement your furniture. Our most popular finishes for bedrooms include warmer tones that create a cozy, restful atmosphere:
-
Laramie: A natural gray with warm undertones that fits contemporary bedrooms without overpowering the space, especially with a light wood finish headboard.
-
Cody: Mixed gray and warm brown tones that add depth and visual interest to a wood panel accent wall.
-
Cheyenne: Warm brown and honey-blond tones with a soft amber color that pair easily with wood furniture and natural décor.
-
Saratoga: Deep, bold tones that create a strong focal point behind the bed and work well with stainless steel hardware, modern hardware, and lighting.
We also offer other finishes for a bolder look, such as Sundance White and Casper (which work particularly well in bathrooms or laundry rooms), as well as Sundance Red and Wheatland.
BEDROOM ACCENT WALL IDEAS & DESIGN ELEMENTS
A wood panel accent wall adds warmth, texture, and visual interest to your bedroom. Reclaimed wood paneling turns a plain wall into a simple design statement.
Behind the Bed: The wall behind your headboard is the most popular spot for bedroom wood paneling. Our panels create a strong backdrop for any bed size, and a horizontal layout can help smaller rooms feel wider.
Floor to Ceiling: Running panels from floor to ceiling creates a bold, built-in look. It also works well for taller walls and clean, uninterrupted lines.
Accent Areas: Use reclaimed wood in alcoves or around windows to highlight a specific area. Lighter finishes feel airy, while darker tones add contrast and mood.
Coordinating with Furniture: Pick a finish that matches or complements what you already have, like a dresser or headboard. If you’re unsure, request samples and review the product description before ordering a full shipment.
Working with Fixtures: Our paneling can be cut to fit around outlets, lighting, and wall details. The video below shows how to make clean cutouts for a smooth finish.
FEATURE CENTENNIAL WOODS BEYOND YOUR BEDROOM
Why stop at your bedroom accent wall? Use our reclaimed wood paneling for walls, ceilings, bathrooms, and décor to create a cohesive atmosphere throughout your home. The same solid wood panels that bring beauty to your panelled bedroom work equally well in living rooms, hallways, and other areas. For exterior projects, we also offer a range of siding profiles to bring the same look outdoors.
For larger projects, our 6-foot bulk reclaimed wood planks are a cost-effective and sustainable choice. Our non-acoustic panels are perfect for residential applications. Bulk ordering provides flexibility for projects requiring consistent wood paneling across multiple rooms at no additional cost per square foot compared to smaller orders.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can reclaimed wood paneling be used on a bedroom ceiling?
Yes! A wall is a wall when it comes to installation, and our lightweight ¼-inch solid wood planks make overhead installation manageable. The same warm finishes that work on walls create stunning visual interest on ceilings, too. Consider the height of your room when planning a ceiling installation.
What do I do if I have an outlet on my accent wall?
Measure and mark the outlet location on your plank, then cut out the appropriate area. We have a helpful video on our YouTube channel that demonstrates the cutout process in detail (starting at 2:37). The same technique works for lighting fixtures and other wall elements.
Do the reclaimed wood planks have color variations?
Yes. Each board has its own character from years of weathering in Wyoming’s high plains. While the overall tone of each finish stays consistent, you can expect natural variation in color, texture, and grain that adds to the look.
Will sunlight damage the reclaimed wood?
Most interior applications do not require additional treatment to protect against UV exposure. For areas with significant direct sunlight exposure, we recommend our Centennial Seal treatment, which protects against UV and moisture damage.
Is the reclaimed wood treated for moisture protection?
No. The reclaimed wood is naturally moisture-resistant, but it does not come pre-treated. For added protection, we can pre-apply a moisture protectant (Centennial Seal™) for an additional cost.
Can I install reclaimed wood paneling myself?
Absolutely! At ¼-inch thick with pre-cut strips in various widths, our paneling planks are lightweight and easy to work with. We offer detailed installation resources to guide you through the process.
Can reclaimed wood be used in other areas of the home?
Yes. Centennial Woods planks are a great fit for interior wall and ceiling projects. Browse our application pages for bathrooms, accent walls, ceilings, staircases, ceiling beams, and fireplaces.
Do you offer help with sizing my order and planning delivery?
Yes. Measure the wall height and width, then decide if you want a full wall or a wood panel accent wall behind the headboard. Our solid wood paneling works well for most bedroom setups, and we can review your order, confirm delivery details, and help you choose the right finish before checkout.
